WOLDE Receives continued Funding from the U.S. Department of Labor

Wilmington, DEThe U.S. Department of Labor’s Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives has awarded Women’s Opportunity Link of Delaware
$30,000 in continued funding. Last year (2006),WOLDE was one of 55 organizations awarded $75,000 in a competitive pool of 557 - making the agency the first and only U.S. Department of Labor CFBCI award recipient in the state of Delaware. This year the organization successfully competed to expand their work, making WOLDE one of 2 chosen to receive continued funding.

Women’s Opportunity Link of Delaware, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to moving motivated working poor women into living wage job training programs and employment opportunities. Fund for Women Awards $106,932 to Women and Girls Programs

Gloria Fine Honored with Driving Force Award The Fund For Women of the Delaware Community Foundation distributed $106,932 in grants to 18 nonprofit organizations and honored former Advisory Committee Chair Gloria Fine with its 2006 Driving Force Award at its annual program on May 15, at the Delaware Art Museum. Susan Sherk, current Advisory Committee Vice-Chair presented the award to Fine, one of the original founding members of the Fund for Women, recognizing her leadership and enduring support of the organization and its goals.
